Description Under general supervision, performs technical work involving inspections of construction of roads, site development and utilities projects to ensure compliance with Town engineering standards. Is responsible for preliminary, on-going and final inspections of projects. Reports to Chief Engineering Inspector.
Minimum Requirements (Must meet by the closing date of the posting unless otherwise stated) Graduation from high school or vocational school 3 years of experience in road and site development construction or inspections work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Preferred Certifications and Licenses Qualified Stormwater Management Inspector ( Issued by Florida Department of Environmental Protection ) Maintenance of Traffic Certification Essential Functions ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Inspects water, wastewater, drainage, road construction, site development ,paving, sidewalks, and utilities construction projects to assure conformance with approved plans and specifications; makes routine field tests of construction materials; prepares and maintains related reports and records. Meets and confers with private engineers, developers, contractors, builders, etc.
