Summary

A growing mechanical contractor is looking to add a Plumbing Estimator to support multifamily and commercial construction projects. This role focuses on pricing plumbing scopes for ground-up and renovation work and working closely with leadership and operations during preconstruction.

This is a good fit for someone who understands plumbing systems, can read drawings well, and is comfortable handling multiple bids at once.

Responsibilities

Prepare plumbing estimates for multifamily and commercial projects

Perform material and labor takeoffs from plans and specifications

Review drawings, specs, and addenda to confirm full scope

Request and review vendor and supplier pricing

Work with leadership on bid strategy and value engineering

Assist with proposal and bid package preparation

Maintain estimating spreadsheets and historical pricing

Support handoff from estimating to project management

Requirements

3+ years of plumbing estimating experience

Background in multifamily or commercial construction

Strong understanding of plumbing systems and labor production

Comfortable reading plans and specifications

Experience with takeoff software and Excel

Organized and able to manage multiple bids

Clear communicator and team player
