This position will assist with the development, coordination, and evaluation of the Addressing Youth Mental and behavioral Health Illness (AYM HI) in primary care program. AYM HI endeavors to increase mental health training opportunities for pediatric residents. The AYM HI Program Assistant will facilitate team meetings, data collection and entry, coordination of residents, students, preceptors, and faculty involved in AYM HI programming, assist the AYM HI Leadership Team and perform other duties related to the AYM HI program. Candidates should be self-starters, exhibit a high level of attention to detail, have an established ability to work independently, experience managing multiple projects, and have a proven ability to meet deadlines. Additionally, this position will be called upon to coordinate the AYM HI programming into existing resident education and faculty development. This position reports to the Pediatrics Administrative Manager, with oversight by Project Director for administrative assistant responsibilities and oversight by Evaluation Lead for data specialist responsibilities.
The AYM HI Program Assistant position is part time and will pay $21.63 an hour.

Job Duties:
Program Support
  • Supports AYM HI leadership team
  • Maintains and monitors project plans and schedules
  • Coordinates AYM HI programming and participation
  • Organizes, attends, and participates in Leadership Team meetings
  • Prepares necessary presentation materials for meetings
  • Provides administrative support as needed
  • Ensures projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately
  • Maintain communication with study partners.
  • Attend partner meetings on behalf of PI/PDs or study personnel in their absence.
  • Record and report meeting notes.
  • Assist in development of timelines or other documents related to the research projects.

Data Collection and Data Entry
  • Maintain records and timelines of project outcomes and deliverables.
  • Administer and provide follow-up for surveys, digital and paper formats for project evaluation.
  • Manually enter data from other external sources (From paper into Excel, REDCap, Qualtrics, etc.).
  • Retrieve data from partnering sites and/or participants and store data in designated location(s) per project protocols.
  • Assist with literature reviews for scholarship.
  • Collaborate on the development of protocols.
  • Assist with development and finalization of Institutional Review Board forms and coordinate process for investigators.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain a list of scholarly activities related to assigned projects/grants.

Reports and presentations
  • Assist in preparation of reports for funding organization and project partners.
  • Assist in the preparation of oral or poster presentations for professional conferences or meetings.
  • Assist in the preparation of manuscripts for submission to professional journals including formatting to meet journal specification.
  • Ensure all presentation and publication activities have appropriate approvals prior to dissemination.

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
