JOB TITLE: ENGINEERING ADVISOR

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Engineering Advisor coordinates and manages projects on-site. They provide consulting, training, and support services to customers and employees related to setup, configuration, solution implementation, and critical business processes. They oversee the application of shoring equipment for job sites such as trenching and excavation. The Advisor understands, analyzes, and addresses customer issues in partnership with the sales team to recommend the safest and cost-effective solution.


PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Provide on-site installation and technical support.โ€ฏ Read blueprints to advise the customer on the best way to install equipment
  • Advise project managers and sales team in formulating the plan for installation projects and educateโ€ฏon properly identifying slide rail/beam and plate opportunities.โ€ฏ
  • Assess construction phases, job situations, and project conditions for timing the approach of customers and rental product application suggestions.
  • Discuss customer needs, suggest the most suitable equipment for the application, and be the source of information for our customers and engineering team about related equipment and services available in the local market.
  • Fleet Inspection and ensuring damaged or repairs are reported and completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure trench boxes are ready for the specific project; loaded with correct rigging, shackles, and related materials.
  • Communicate effectively with customers for the timely execution of the Order Verification process
  • Educate employees and customers on the safe and proper installation/extraction and use of protective systems
  • Supports the team with quality assurance as needed
  • Assists the sales team with project schedule, budget, and cost parameters by providing technical input as needed
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management


EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree
  • Must have excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and work on many different projects at one time
  • Must be able to work independently, and in a team environment, to prioritize and accomplish assigned projects.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized.
  • Must have solid computer skills (RentalMan experience is a plus)
