Job description

Position Summary

TEL is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the New Product Process Technology Group located in Chaska, Minnesota.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of process engineers to support process development, process optimization, and continuous improvement for the existing product fleet and new platforms.
  • Implement engineering working standards to drive increased work efficiency and quality improvement.
  • Define department technical and resource strategies to support company goals.
  • Establish equipment operation and process specifications.
  • Manage department budget, engineer & equipment schedules, and project priorities.
  • Work closely with customer engineers and managers to coordinate efforts within the department to develop and demonstrate new processes.
  • Prepare and present material for internal and customer meetings.
  • Collaborate with TMEA factory, product team, sales and marketing groups, and other functional areas to prepare changes, additions, and modifications that facilitate customer adoption and improve quality of process equipment.
  • Act as liaison with product design and development to ensure processes and designs are compatible.
  • Facilitate the creation and capture of intellectual property for TEL associated with semiconductor equipment, process, and manufacturing.
  • Travel to Japan, external customers, and TMEA offices as required.
  • Hire, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of process engineering support.
  • Set goals for the group and individuals and drive accountability to those goals.
  • Create individual development plans with direct reports and help team members meet their goals.
  • Manage department resources aligned with the RBA Code of Conduct.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum four-year degree in a science/technology discipline.
  • Minimum eight years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing and/or semiconductor equipment.
  • Prior process engineering and/or process engineering management experience.
  • Deep knowledge of equipment technology and semiconductor device structures.
  • Knowledge and experience of vacuum-based equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience of plasma etch equipment.
  • Strong problem finding and solving skills.
  • Strong oral communication and technical presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel 0โ€‘10% of the time.
Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: $133,076.06โ€“$192,944.77 per year.

In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and, for certain roles, eligibility in our bonus plan and longโ€‘term incentives.
