About the role:

As a Delivery Stream WBS 8 Engineer I, you support valve procurement and delivery activities for domestic projects and the domestic restart initiative. In this entry‑level role, you build knowledge of valve commodities and procurement processes while working under the guidance of senior engineers and the WBS 8 Lead. You assist with main phases of the procurement lifecycle, including pre‑PO planning, purchase order execution, delivery tracking, and turnover documentation, while helping ensure supplier data and material status align with project and technical requirements. You also help coordinate with valve suppliers, maintain tracking tools, and support schedule updates, risk management, and cost monitoring. Throughout the role, you collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Project Management, and suppliers to support accurate, on‑time valve delivery and develop technical and commercial expertise.

This hybrid position will report to the Senior Manager APX WBS 3&8, Mechanical Modules and Valves and be located at our Global Headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead program and delivery execution by developing program management models that align with Westinghouse's global execution framework and support profitable participation in the AP1000 Energy System portfolio.
  • Bring procurement strategy and decision‑making by guiding component and equipment procurement, directing supplier strategy, and coordinating technical evaluations, sourcing decisions, and quality audits in partnership with GSCS and engineering teams.
  • Serve as the primary project interface, overseeing project status, delivery performance, and coordination across Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Project Management, suppliers, and customer sites to ensure successful execution within the Westinghouse scope of supply.
  • Forecast program performance by identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring agreement on safety, quality, financial, and schedule goals.
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and team development by supporting delivery stream teams across all locations, mentoring new team members, and contributing to staffing forecasts for project management roles.
