Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engine Build Technician to join our growing technical team. This hands-on role is essential to the assembly, inspection, and maintenance of our cutting-edge rotary engines. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical background, a proactive mindset, and a high level of craftsmanship to support our engineering and R&D efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform precision assembly and disassembly of prototype and production rotary engines
  • Inspect and measure machined components using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
  • Identify and resolve mechanical issues during engine build processes
  • Maintain accurate inventory of tools, components, and consumables
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop and lab areas
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and shop infrastructure
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and other technicians to support design iterations and testing
  • Document build procedures, discrepancies, and improvements for continuous process optimization
Qualifications:
  • Proven mechanical aptitude from automotive, aerospace, machining, or similar hands-on technical fields
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly documentation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
