Outdoor Equipment Co. is looking for an experienced, motivated Outdoor Power Equipment Technician to join our service team in Dimondale, Michigan. If you're the type of technician who takes pride in diagnosing problems correctly the first time, enjoys working on a wide variety of equipment, and wants to be part of a dealership that invests in its people, we'd love to meet you.
Our technicians work on some of the industry's leading brands in lawn equipment, powersports, compact tractors, snow removal equipment, and marine products. Every day brings new challenges, new technology, and opportunities to expand your skills.
We offer competitive pay of $24 to $32 per hour, with higher earning potential for experienced technicians who bring advanced diagnostic skills, hydraulic experience, OEM certifications, or multiple years of dealership experience.

What You'll Do
As an Outdoor Power Equipment Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, service, and maintain a wide range of equipment, including:
Zero turn and riding lawn mowers
Compact tractors
Utility vehicles (UTVs)
ATVs
Chainsaws, trimmers, and handheld equipment
Snow blowers
Snow plows and hydraulic snow removal systems
Hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, hoses, and control systems
Small engines, EFI systems, electrical systems, and drivetrains
Your day may include:
Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel system issues
Performing preventative maintenance and scheduled services
Repairing engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, and PTO systems
Troubleshooting hydraulic systems on snow plows and outdoor equipment
Using diagnostic software and service manuals
Completing repairs efficiently while maintaining high quality workmanship
Communicating repair recommendations with service advisors
Performing final inspections to ensure equipment is ready for the customer

What We're Looking For
We're looking for technicians who take pride in their work and enjoy solving mechanical problems.
Ideal candidates will have experience with:
Outdoor power equipment repair
Small engines (2-cycle and 4-cycle)
Electrical diagnostics
Hydraulic systems and hydraulic troubleshooting
Snow plow installation and repair
Fuel injection systems
Reading wiring diagrams and service manuals
Preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
Preferred qualifications include:
Previous dealership or repair shop experience
OEM certifications (Kawasaki, Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, Honda, Kubota, Toro, Cub Cadet, Bad Boy, Hustler, Grasshopper, or similar)
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Valid driver's license
Full set of basic tools
