The Role: 

Key Purpose: Deliver high-quality IT services that meet or exceed the expectations of our clients and stakeholders, focusing on the provision, administration, and compliance of servers, storage, virtualization technology and cloud environments.  Structure and reporting relationship, Local team also includes IT Support Technician. Wider System Engineering team members are located in the UK, Czechia and China.    

  • Seamless global delivery and problem resolution.  
  • Project delivery in line with strategic direction and operational requirements: Support the mitigation of security vulnerabilities, and the resolution of security incidents.  
  • Apply information security principles to daily working practice. 
  • Understand the costs associated with relevant technology solutions.  
  • Engage with and work with external parties as appropriate to delivery. Follow relevant standards, company policies and best practices.  
  • Keep abreast of technology changes and contribute to the IT roadmap.  

Key Responsibilities:  

  • REQUIRED: Must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future work visa sponsorship.
  • Maintain high-quality IT services through the provision of server, storage and cloud technology stacks. 
  • Proactive administration and management of IT Infrastructure. 
  • Incident and event management. 
  • Change management. 
  • Vulnerability and patch management. 
  • Privileged Access Management. Costt analysis and obsolescence planning. 
  • Resolution of 2nd and 3rd line support tickets. 
  • Participate in after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and/or on-call availability as required. 
  • Support networking through collaboration with global network team. 
  • Collaborate with the wider IT team to support 

Key Competencies and Experience:  

  •  Azure AD, Group Policy, Certificates, PowerShell, ADFS, DNS, DHCP·          
  • O365, Exchange 365 / 2019, Azure SSO, AAD  
  • Proxy and Conditional Access·         
  • Azure VMs, VMWare vSphere / vCenter, Hyper-V·         
  • Windows Server and Desktop OS     
  • Backup / Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity          
  • Amazon Web Services compute and storage          
  • Privileged Access Management    
  • Core networking principles. 
  • Basic UNIX/Linux experience desirable·          
  • Vendor Management·          
  • Good understanding of the principles of Information Security and the role of compliance in operational IT.·          
  • Experience with the configuration and administration of M365, including Entra, Intune and Autopilot. 
  • Creating and maintaining operational documentation. 

Desirable:  

  • Desirable technical and professional skills, knowledge and qualification:       
  • Experience working in the engineering design and manufacturing sector.       
  • Experience with Dell and Cisco servers, Synology and Netapps storage.         
  • Higher level qualification in an IT discipline.       
  • Delivery of technical projects according to specification and communication with stakeholders.  
  • Experience working with vendors to deliver IT solutions and services.  
  • Networking knowledge including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP and related protocols Knowledge of Azure Fundamentals
