What you'll do:
This role is responsible for executing initiatives that support commercialization and venture creation across FedTech's Resilient Economies portfolio of programs. Responsibilities span state and regional initiatives and federal government contracts anchored in energy and adjacent domains.
Key Responsibilities
  • Program Management
    • Run programs end-to-end, including project scoping, budgets, staffing, and timelines
    • Track program-level profitability through project scoping, budgets, and staffing, providing recommendations on program and resource management.
    • Support cross-functional initiatives that improve processes, systems, or efficiency
    • Manage day-to-day operations of innovation and stakeholder engagement activities, including technical due diligence, program coordination, community events, mentoring, guest speakers, and immersion experiences
    • Lead the design and delivery of incubation programs for early-stage ventures, identifying commercialization opportunities in target markets
    • Anticipate program challenges and bring data into decision-making
  • Innovation & Venture Support
    • Contribute to the design, testing, and refinement of new programs and offerings.
    • Ensure customer insights and continuous improvement are embedded in program design.
    • Advise deep tech startups on business model development to support commercialization.
    • Participate in professional development to strengthen expertise in role specific areas
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, national labs, industry partners, academic institutions, and economic development organizations.
    • Support the identification and advancement of new growth opportunities with the potential to evolve into commercial offerings.
    • Contribute to research and proposal development efforts to help create tailored solutions that address partner and client objectives.

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in innovation programs, accelerators/studios, startups, or entrepreneurial support organizations.
  • Knowledge of energy technology and/or policy; prior government experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize client needs and align program design and execution with organizational and project objectives.
  • Proven program management experience, including oversight of project-level finances, coordination of multi-phase initiatives, and organization of events in fast-paced environments.
  • Effective communicator, experienced in leading meetings and delivering presentations on complex topics.
  • Analytical and data-driven, using insights to support projects and inform decision-making.
  • Hands-on experience with productivity and collaboration tools such as Google Suite, Claude, Airtable, Slack, Beautiful.ai, and Unanet, with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new platforms.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and growth-oriented, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to continuous learning.

Compensation:
  • Base salary range: $100-120k
    • The salary range listed for this position is based on market data and internal compensation structure. The final compensation package will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and education. This range is not a guarantee of compensation, and offers may fall outside this range in exceptional cases.
  • In addition to the base salary, compensation includes performance based bonus (OTE) and ability to earn equity
  • A competitive benefits package including 401K with employer match, health/dental/vision plans through Blue Cross Blue Shield, accrued PTO, professional development funds, employer paid disability insurance, parental leave, transportation and wellness reimbursements, amongst others.

Location:
The position can be set up as a hybrid work arrangement in either of the following locations:
  • 2 days in person at our office in Boston, MA and 3 days remote
  • 3 days in person at our headquarters in Arlington, VA, and 2 days remote

Travel: Up to 10% based on business needs
