Facility:Dayton Children's - Tech TownDepartment:Prospect ResearchSchedule:Full timeHours:40Job Details:The Foundation Operations Strategist is responsible for the administration, compliance, and oversight of all donorrestricted and endowed funds for the Foundation. Reporting to the Director of Foundation Operations, this position ensures that restricted dollars are documented, tracked, allocated, and spent in accordance with donor intent, organizational policies, and applicable accounting standards. The role performs advanced analytical, operational, and compliance functions, including fund reconciliation, financial reporting, audit preparation, and endowment management. The Strategist serves as the primary subjectmatter expert and central point of contact for restrictedfund policies and processes, providing guidance, training, and technical support to internal stakeholders. This position works collaboratively with Finance, Foundation, and program leaders to support accurate fund usage, maintain financial integrity, and enable effective planning and decisionmaking across the organization.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a non-profit management, business accounting or related field.

Experience:

  • 4-6 years experience in database administration/management, donor/gift acknowledgement

  • Deep understanding of donor intent, non-profit accounting principles
  • Restricted funds administration, accounting knowledge and data management
