Job Summary:

POSITION SUMMARY

Manages an efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality ground medical transport operation. Oversees facility throughput, performance metric monitoring and adherence, performance improvement initiatives, and safety enhancement strategies. Provides leadership and oversight of Ground Transport and Dispatch team members, including performance evaluation, development, and accountability.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provides leadership and oversight of Ground Transport and Dispatch team members, including performance evaluation, development, and accountability.
  • Oversees the PTN Dispatch division to ensure 24/7 scheduling, dispatching, and accurate recordkeeping for non-emergent and emergent medical transport requests.
  • Promotes a culture of safety, trust, accountability, and leadership while ensuring delivery of a highly reliable and dependable care model.
  • Collaborates with the Medical Director and PTN leadership team to coordinate the development, implementation, review, and revision of EMS protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Partners with the Quality Assurance leader to ensure monthly quality deliverables are completed, submitted, and reviewed with the leadership team and Medical Director.
  • Partners with Recruiting and the Administrative Secretary to coordinate interviews, candidate selection, and onboarding activities for new hires.
  • Collaborates with the Workforce Education Specialist to coordinate new hire onboarding, scheduling, orientation, and continuing education, ensuring timely completion and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinates and supports accreditation activities and ongoing compliance requirements for CAAS and CAPCE.
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with hospital leaders, staff, service lines, and external partners to support effective operations and patient care.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree in work-related healthcare field.

Skills: Must be able to organize and communicate efficiently in a caring and professional manner with all members of the multidisciplinary team. Reflects the mission and values of ProMedica Health System. Ability to work in a challenging environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Ground Paramedic knowledge and skills are highly competent to expert. Must be able to successfully pass all pre-hire prerequisites including DVM clearance. Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer and network systems.

Years of Experience: 3-5 years' experience in EMS leadership including Ground and Dispatch Operations.

License: Must be licensed to practice as a Paramedic in the state of Ohio and Michigan or acquire within three (3) months after hire.

Certification: Must have and maintain PALS, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PHTL.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master's degree in healthcare related field or Business Administration.
