Position: Director of IT
Pay: Starting at $140,000/YR
Location: Washington State (headquarter is in Gig Harbor, WA - but Director of IT will travel to our skilled and assisted nursing facilities throughout the state of Washington)

Job Description:
Caldera Care is actively seeking a Director of Information Technology & Systems to lead the organization's technology strategy, systems management, cybersecurity, and digital transformation efforts. This role will oversee infrastructure, support services, system integrations, EMR/EHR platforms, regulatory compliance technology, and vendor management across all facilities and corporate departments. The Director will report to leadership and collaborate closely with clinical, operations, and finance.
The ideal candidate should have a proven background in healthcare IT leadership, a hands-on approach to systems and security, and a deep understanding scaling technology across multi-site operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all technology systems, infrastructure, and applications across corporate and facility networks.
  • Develop and execute a multi-year IT roadmap aligned with organizational goals, growth, compliance, and modernization.
  • Actively respond to the Help Desk tickets and ensure that requests are rapidly resolved.
  • Ensure reliability, uptime, and ongoing support for EMR/EHR platforms, clinical systems, and healthcare software applications.
  • Maintain HIPAA, SOC-2, HITECH, and CMS regulatory compliance across all tech systems and workflows.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, network security, and user provisioning.
  • Partner with clinical, HR, finance, operations, and compliance teams to support technology needs and system optimization.
  • Lead EMR optimizations and technology adoption to enhance clinical quality, workflow efficiency, and reporting accuracy.
  • Oversee IT budget, licenses, hardware lifecycle, monitor performance KPIs, and technology risks.
  • Remain current with healthcare technology trends, cyber threats, and innovation opportunities.

Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; MS preferred.
  • 10+ years IT leadership experience, including multi-site or enterprise environment; healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability leading IT functions including security, network administration, infrastructure, systems, and support.
  • Experience supporting healthcare applications/EMR systems (PointClickCare strongly preferred).
  • Expertise with enterprise Microsoft environments (AD, Azure AD, O365, server management, domain controllers, firewalls, endpoint security).
  • Demonstrated track record implementing cybersecurity frameworks, HIPAA compliance, and disaster recovery.
  • Strong project management experience driving cross-functional technology initiatives..
  • Strong communication, vendor management, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (ITIL, CISSP, CISM, CISA, PMP, Microsoft security/administration).
  • Skilled nursing, hospital, or healthcare multi-site operations experience is a huge plus.
