Leveraging strong partnerships with over 6,000 haulers, we help our clients achieve greater waste efficiency, increased recycling, improved sustainability data, and cost savings, all while moving toward a more sustainable, waste-free future.
About the role
The Vendor Relations Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining positive relationships with the organization's vendors and suppliers. This role ensures that vendor performance meets company standards, negotiates contracts and pricing, resolves disputes, and supports business goals by ensuring the efficient and cost-effective delivery of products and services.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and vendors.
  • Establish and maintain long-term vendor partnerships that support strategic goals.
  • Conduct RFPs, Manage Price increases, negotiate contracts to favorable terms.
  • Launch New Customers.
  • Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Resolve vendor-related issues, such as delivery delays, quality concerns, or billing discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (procurement, finance, operations, etc.) to identify vendor needs and assess performance.Maintain vendor documentation, contracts, and performance metrics.
  • Evaluate potential new vendors based on capability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Occasional travel for vendor meetings or site visits may be required.

What we need from you
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, supply chain, or a related role.
  • Experience negotiating pricing and managing vendor performance.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and vendor management systems.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-Motivator

Prefered Qualifications
  • Experience in the Waste and Recycling industry.
