Location:ย North Chicago ILย (100% Onsite)
Duration: 3+ย Months (Possibility to extend)
Shift Time:ย 8am to 5pm
Pay Rangeย : $27/hr to $34/hr (On W2)

We are looking for a โ€œHR Specialistโ€œ to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a variety of employee relations activities to minimize the negative impact of individual employee grievances or collective labor disputes.
  • Executes the delivery of services to provide a single point of contact for efficiently providing highly accessible expert Employee Relations.
  • Interfaces across multiple businesses and or countries and ensures compliance with all relevant country laws, regulations, policies and practices.
  • Interpret and administer the organization's collective agreements and individual employment contracts so that they are applied in accordance with relevant regulations, laws, and the organization's employment policies and standards.
  • Conduct research and analysis on employee relations issues so that other managers, legal counsel, mediators, and external consultants are well-prepared for bargaining, negotiation, and dispute resolution procedures.
  • Participate in negotiations and dispute resolution procedures with employees, unions, employer bodies, government agencies, labor relations authorities, and other relevant agencies so that the organization's interests are protected.
  • Keep up-to-date with the employee relations climate in the organization and the industry and with proposed and actual changes in employee relations regulations, so that the organizations employee relations policies remain current and relevant.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Provides expert consultative and problem solving services to managers, employees and other HR functions regarding HR policies and practices.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant country laws, regulations, policies and practices

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or Employee Relations related field.
Qualifications:
  • 2 - 4 years prior HR experience
  • Familiar with conflict resolution, organization, & relatable experience with having difficult conversations.
  • Experience with Zendesk & Workday
  • Effectively communicates and negotiates with customers to define service levels.
  • Worked for a large corporation.
