Aspirus Health in WAUSAU, WI is seeking a DIRECTOR- SYSTEM EMPLOYEE HEALTH & WELLNESS to join our HUMAN RESOURCES team!
The Director- System Employee Health & Wellness is responsible for the strategic leadership, system-wide integration, and performance outcomes of employee health services across Aspirus.
This role establishes the enterprise strategy, governance structure, and standard operating model for employee health services, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities related to workforce health, safety, and cost management. The Director is accountable for reducing workplace injuries and illness, improving workforce health outcomes, ensuring regulatory compliance and optimizing program effectiveness and financial performance.
The Director leads a team of managers and clinical professionals, driving constant and high-quality delivery of services system-wide.
Experience/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) and Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, or Healthcare Administration required.
  • 7-10 years of clinical and/or occupational health experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare system.
  • Experience managing multi-site or system-level programs.
  • Current Wisconsin licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Certification in Occupational Health (COHN) desired.
  • Occupational health and regulatory expertise (OSHA, CDC, Joint Commission).
  • Strong data analytics and performance management skills.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable BLS training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
  • Ability to manage complex environments and conduct difficult conversations effectively.
  • Ability to think systematically to identify patterns across departments and implement solutions that address root causes, not symptoms.
  • Ability to lead change and engage leaders and front-line staff to achieve compliance and desired outcomes.
  • Ability to think critically and execute to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.
