The Compliance Specialist (Regulatory Change & Governance) is responsible for coordinating and executing compliance initiatives across Origence and its affiliated entities. This role serves as a bridge between Compliance and business stakeholders by translating regulatory requirements, managing implementation activities, coordinating cross-functional compliance efforts, and helping ensure regulatory obligations are effectively operationalized.

Working under the direction of the Director of Compliance, this role supports regulatory change management, policy governance, compliance communications, privacy initiatives, examinations, and enterprise compliance programs through strong organization, communication, and execution.

How You'll Contribute:

Regulatory Change Management

  • Monitor and track regulatory developments and compliance obligations.
  • Coordinate regulatory change implementation activities across impacted business units.
  • Draft compliance bulletins, advisories, summaries, and stakeholder communications.
  • Facilitate meetings and follow-up activities related to regulatory implementation.
  • Maintain regulatory inventories, trackers, implementation plans, and supporting documentation.

Compliance Program Governance

  • Coordinate enterprise compliance initiatives from identification through implementation and closure.
  • Maintain compliance governance documentation, issue logs, action plans, and program reporting.
  • Track remediation activities and implementation commitments across business stakeholders.
  • Support compliance reporting provided to management and leadership.
  • Assist with ongoing development and maturity of the Compliance Management System.

Policy Governance

  • Draft and maintain policies, procedures, standards, and guidance materials.
  • Coordinate policy review cycles, stakeholder feedback, approvals, and publication.
  • Help ensure documentation reflects operational practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain policy inventories and governance records.

Regulatory Research & Business Support

  • Research applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance.
  • Prepare compliance summaries, issue analyses, and memorandums for management review.
  • Assist business stakeholders in understanding compliance requirements and implementation expectations.
  • Escalate complex or high-risk interpretations to the Director of Compliance.

Privacy, Risk & Strategic Initiatives

  • Support enterprise privacy, AI governance, and emerging technology compliance initiatives.
  • Coordinate documentation, inventories, risk assessments, and governance activities related to AI and automated decision-making technologies (ADMT).
  • Assist with AI use case reviews, regulatory tracking, policy maintenance, and implementation activities.
  • Monitor regulatory developments affecting privacy, AI, automated decisioning, and data governance.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Engineering, Security, Legal, Risk, and Operations teams.
  • Participate in special projects involving new products, emerging technologies, and regulatory readiness efforts.

Compliance Program Execution

  • Coordinate implementation of compliance initiatives across business units.
  • Maintain regulatory inventories, issue logs, action plans, and governance documentation.
  • Track implementation activities and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of assigned actions.
  • Support management reporting and preparation of compliance communications.
  • Assist in developing scalable governance processes that support compliance program maturity.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, risk management, or related field (or commensurate experience in risk, compliance, or audit).

Experience

  • 5–8 years of experience in compliance, risk management, project management, regulatory affairs, operations, financial services, fintech, SaaS, lending, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written communication skills.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to independently organize, prioritize, and execute work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build productive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Your Strengths & Expertise

  • Experience supporting a Compliance Management System.
  • Experience in lending, fintech, SaaS, financial services, or regulated industries.
  • Experience drafting policies, procedures, business communications, or regulatory guidance.
  • Experience supporting audits, examinations, or regulatory inquiries.
  • Familiarity with privacy, consumer protection, or financial regulatory requirements

Recognizing Your Impact

The starting salary range for this full-time position is $99400 - $124300 per year. We offer competitive compensation designed to recognize the value, experience, and contributions each team member brings to Origence. Base pay is determined by factors including experience, geographic location, and internal equity, and eligible positions may participate in our annual bonus program.
