Job description

SAIC is seeking a Mod/Sim Associate to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.

The candidate will provide support for Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and analysis. Utilizing a professional knowledge of simulation methodologies, the candidate will support the planning, design, execution, and analysis in the development of M&S environments pertaining to Electromagnetic Spectrum.
Key Responsibilities

M&S Engineering
Develop, configure, and execute mission-level and engagement-level simulations utilizing tools such as AFSIM (Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling), STK (Systems Tool Kit), and MATLAB.
Analysis & Improvement
Analyze operational concepts, threat capabilities, and environment requirements to identify and implement improvements in M&S architectures and Electronic Warfare representations.
Project Controls
Assist in the preparation of project schedules and provide technical data to support project cost estimations.
Technical Reviews
Conduct technical reviews of modeling methodologies, simulation results, algorithms, and technical specifications, providing recommendations to Government leads to ensure compliance with project objectives.
Data & Tech Currency
Maintain current engineering and simulation data for assigned projects. Keep abreast of emerging technologies and simulation capabilities to improve modeling fidelity.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE

  • Bachelor's degree and zero years of experience; Additional years of experience in lieu of degree will be accepted.   
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer Service oriented with strong oral and written communication skills. This position will require heavy interface with various customers/stakeholders.
  • Experience writing SOPs, procedures, and processes.
  • Active Secret clearance 
  • US Citizenship Required.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Prior Security role for DoD or Federal Agency.
  • Knowledge of DoD guidance on classified materials and handling, destruction and storage, CUI/S classification categories.
  • Familiarity with OUSD R&E Hypersonics for Military Systems and Applications Security Classification Guide SCG.
  • Familiarity with Navy Conventional Prompt Strike SCG.
  • Cyber Security Background or some technical experience.
