Key Responsibilities
  • Sanding, grinding, and occasional blasting of power distribution equipment for painting.
  • Must be able to apply tape and masking in a manner that allows for the product to be properly painted without leaving bare spots on the finished product.
  • Transport and stage units for surface preparation.
  • Assist in labeling and final preparation of units as needed.
  • Must maintain a level of quality that ensures a less than 1.5% reject rate. This includes the quality of the prep work which includes proper sanding by machine or hand, and proper taping/masking.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
The ideal candidate will embody the following characteristics and possess the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below:
  • Honest, trustworthy and reliable.
  • Hardworking.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy work, exerting up to 100lbs of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50lbs force frequently.
  • Comfortable working in extreme heat and cold.
