Job description

The Lovibond Design Center, based in Loveland, CO, seeks a Software Quality Assurance Intern to assist the Lovibond team in achieving overall company goals and to support us in our commitment to putting customers first by providing excellent service and great product experiences.
Reporting to the Embedded Software Manager, the Software Quality Assurance Intern will support the software engineering team by assisting with software quality assurance activities across the testing lifecycle. This role provides hands-on experience in manual and automated testing, defect tracking, test documentation, and cross-functional collaboration in an Agile development environment.
Responsibilities
  • Perform manual testing and execute established test scripts to validate software functionality and identify defects.
  • Record, track, and communicate software defects in Jira, including clear reproduction steps and supporting details.
  • Assist in the creation, review, and maintenance of test cases, test plans, and related quality assurance documentation.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and execution of automated test scripts for web and API testing.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint planning, while working closely with developers and engineering team members.
Experience, Skills amp; Knowledge
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, sound judgment, and strong attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and explain technical issues.
  • Familiar with testing tools, defect tracking systems, or related quality assurance platforms is preferred.
