Job Description
The email marketing lead is responsible for executing the email strategy for Dr. Squatch. This includes all copywriting and design for our automated email sequences, email newsletters, and email captures on site.
The primary objective is to increase customer LTV and purchase rate by deepening the relationship with have with our customers through email marketing.
You'll also be in charge of increasing our email newsletter frequency from once per month to weekly, over time. The goal here will be to build a highly engaged list of followers by crafting and curating content that fit within our brand mission.
The role includes the following primary tasks:
  • Writing Copy & Creating Design for All Emails
    • Klaviyo Automated Flows
    • Periodic Newsletters
    • Promotional Emails
    • Abandon Cart Emails / Others
  • Measuring & Reporting on Email Marketing Performance
  • A/B Testing To Improve Email Metrics (Open Rate, CTOR, Conv. Rate)
  • Creating & Maintaining Automated Email Flows in Klaviyo
  • Increasing Frequency of Newsletter Sends and Developing an Engaged List

**This is a virtual position, although preference will be given to candidates in the San Diego area**
Qualifications
Work & Education Experience:
  • 1 year experience with email marketing and/or blog writing in related niche required.
  • Professional copywriting or sales education highly preferred

Technology Experience:
  • Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Canva (or similar), SumoMe (or similar), Google Analytics, Google UTM Codes

Additional Information
Hours & Compensation
  • Up to 24 Hours per week as needed
  • Hours will be based on frequency of emails and upfront copywriting for automated emails
