The Sales Representative is responsible for identifying opportunities in new markets and growth areas, driving the development of the different product lines. Leveraging deep knowledge of products and markets, this role defines line-specific strategies within the division and oversees planning processes that establish short-, mid-, and long-term objectives, priorities, and programs to achieve them.

The Sales Representative provides technical, scientific, and marketing support to local and regional distribution channels (BCLA) to meet sales targets. This role ensures results through integrated sales and marketing plans and collaborates with executive leadership on the definition, review, and implementation of processes through effective team leadership.

This position reports to the Country Manager in Puerto Rico and is part of the Sales Team. The role is based in Puerto Rico and works remotely while covering the southern area of the Island.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and strengthen your skills as a Sales Representative.
  • Build a solid and successful career in sales and business development.
  • Strategically develop accounts and territories to increase market share.
  • Add value to the team through interactive and collaborative cross-functional relationships, sharing best practices across departments.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field or similar (Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales with strong market knowledge.
  • Experience using corporate tools (ERP systems, corporate processes, and executive reporting).
  • Knowledge of key stakeholders in the Mexican market.
  • Proven experience in value-based selling and objection handling.
  • Intermediate level of English proficiency.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for the role

  • Ability to travel - list specifics: 20% travel, overnight, within territory or locations
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience managing Salesforce.com.
  • Experience with direct and indirect sales management.
  • Routine laboratory experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with tender and bid management.

This is a remote role; however, candidates must be currently located in Puerto Rico. The selected individual will work remotely while supporting local market needs, collaborating with crossfunctional teams, and engaging with customers and stakeholders in Puerto Rico.
