Job description

Responsibilities
Rockford Center is searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician for full time day shift position with rotating weekends and holidays.
Rockford Center is a 138-bed mental health facility located in Newark, DE, providing easy access to a full complement of inpatient and partial behavioral health programs for children and adolescents, adults, and older adults. Rockford is the only child inpatient behavioral health facility in DE, offers an experienced and tenured senior management team, and serves New Castle County and northern Maryland.

Position Summary:
In this rewarding role, you will ensure the maintenance of a clean, healthy, pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities :
  • Clean floors in-patient and non-patient areas using proper supplies and equipment
  • Remove trash and waste from designated areas of facility
  • Make beds correctly and remove and replace linens, placing in designated storage area for laundering
  • Maintain facility and furnishings in clean, orderly fashion, including dusting furniture, cleaning windows, keeping bathrooms clean and supplies replenished

  • Experience: Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of hospital cleaning and care preferred.
