Our success is built on creativity, innovation, collaboration, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. We are passionate about developing products, brands, and digital experiences that resonate with consumers while delivering exceptional quality and value.

Position Overview

XR is seeking a full-time, creative, and detail-oriented Ecommerce Email Marketing Designer to lead the design and production of high-volume email marketing creative across four established ecommerce brands.

This role focuses on creating compelling, conversion-focused ecommerce email campaigns from creative brief through final, CRM-ready assets. The position will produce approximately 12 email campaigns per week across four ecommerce storefronts, while maintaining distinct brand identities, established production schedules, and consistently high creative standards.

In addition to email marketing, this role will support website promotional creative, product imagery, digital advertising, SMS, AI-assisted lifestyle imagery, and other digital marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines strong ecommerce email marketing experience with advanced digital design capabilities and understands how creative, merchandising, customer behavior, and conversion work together to drive ecommerce performance.

A portfolio demonstrating ecommerce email marketing, website, and digital design work is required for consideration.

Why Join XR?

XR offers the opportunity to make a visible impact across multiple established ecommerce brands within a growing and evolving consumer products company. With more than 26 years in business, we provide a stable, collaborative work environment where creativity, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement are valued.

We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to create digital experiences and marketing assets that directly influence customer engagement and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Email Campaign Design

  • Design three email campaigns per storefront each week, totaling approximately 12 campaigns across four ecommerce brands.
  • Manage each campaign from written creative brief through final, approved, CRM-ready assets.
  • Maintain a rolling production calendar that remains at least two weeks ahead of scheduled deployment.
  • Create mobile-first email campaigns featuring strong hero graphics, product modules, promotional messaging, clear calls to action, countdown timers, animated GIFs, and other interactive creative elements when appropriate.
  • Maintain a distinct visual identity, design style, tone, and customer experience for each ecommerce storefront.
  • Collaborate with Marketing through established review and approval processes to ensure creative accuracy, brand consistency, and campaign readiness before deployment.
  • Incorporate feedback and complete revisions within established timelines without disrupting the broader campaign schedule.
  • Identify opportunities to improve email design, customer engagement, and conversion through evolving ecommerce trends and creative best practices.

Website Graphics & Promotional Campaigns

  • Design and deliver homepage hero graphics, category banners, promotional bars, landing page assets, and supporting website creative for monthly campaigns and promotional launches.
  • Maintain current, visually consistent, and conversion-focused creative across all four ecommerce storefronts.
  • Support seasonal campaigns, product launches, sales events, and other promotional initiatives.
  • Review and validate creative assets across desktop, tablet, mobile devices, and major browsers before launch.
  • Partner with Marketing, Ecommerce, and IT to ensure assets are properly implemented and presented across each storefront.

Product Imagery & Brand Development

  • Elevate the visual quality of all four ecommerce brands through modern, customer-focused digital design.
  • Edit, retouch, recolor, composite, resize, and optimize product photography to professional ecommerce standards.
  • Utilize AI-assisted creative tools to generate high-quality lifestyle imagery while ensuring finished assets remain realistic, brand-appropriate, commercially usable, and aligned with company standards.
  • Integrate actual product imagery into AI-generated or digitally created lifestyle environments while maintaining product accuracy, proportions, color, and overall believability.
  • Refresh and modernize creative assets for legacy products and older catalog content.
  • Maintain visual consistency across product imagery, email campaigns, website graphics, and related digital marketing materials.
  • Continually identify opportunities to improve visual storytelling, product presentation, and the overall ecommerce customer experience.

Digital Marketing Support

  • Create digital marketing assets supporting website promotions, email marketing, SMS campaigns, social media, paid advertising, digital campaigns, and other business initiatives.
  • Produce static, animated, and motion-based creative when required.
  • Effectively prioritize ad hoc creative requests while maintaining established production schedules and campaign deadlines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Ecommerce, IT, Product Development, and Leadership to execute digital initiatives.
  • Organize and maintain creative working files, approved assets, templates, and brand resources for efficient internal use.

Collaboration & Process Management

  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to prioritize assignments, manage the creative calendar, and support departmental goals.
  • Follow established creative workflows from briefing and concept development through review, refinement, approval, and final delivery.
  • Communicate project status, scheduling concerns, technical limitations, and potential delays in a timely and solutions-oriented manner.
  • Manage multiple campaigns, brands, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • Receive and incorporate creative feedback while maintaining a collaborative, accountable, and professional approach.
  • Support continuous improvement by recommending more efficient design processes, templates, tools, and creative workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • Five (5) or more years of professional digital, ecommerce, email, or graphic design experience.
  • Proven experience designing high-volume ecommerce email campaigns.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Experience working with Klaviyo or a comparable email marketing platform, including an understanding of what can be effectively executed within the campaign editor.
  • Experience supporting Shopify or comparable ecommerce storefronts.
  • Strong understanding of mobile-first and responsive email design, image-based modules, file optimization, controlled file sizes, and email rendering best practices.
  • Experience creating and implementing animated GIFs, countdown timers, video assets, and other rich digital content.
  • Strong product photography editing, retouching, recoloring, and compositing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI-assisted creative tools to enhance imagery, improve production efficiency, and support concept development.
  • Strong typography, layout, color theory, visual hierarchy, and digital storytelling skills.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce merchandising, customer behavior, and conversion-focused design.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple brands, projects, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to receive and incorporate feedback while maintaining a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Must be comfortable viewing adult imagery and videos as part of daily responsibilities and able to professionally discuss adult novelty and sexual wellness products in a respectful, non-judgmental, and compliant manner.
