Position Summary

The Marketing Director for Discount Tire & Service Centers is responsible for developing, executing, and managing the company’s marketing strategies and initiatives across all corporate-owned locations. This role supports a fast-growing, family-owned retail tire and automotive service organization that has proudly served local communities for more than 50 years.

With more than 40 corporate-owned locations and a strategic growth plan to aggressively expand over the next five years, the Marketing Director plays a key role in driving brand awareness, customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth while preserving the company’s trusted reputation and customer-first values.

The Marketing Director oversees day-to-day marketing operations, digital marketing initiatives, local store marketing, promotions, events, advertising campaigns, and customer engagement strategies. This position works closely with executive leadership and operational teams to ensure marketing initiatives align with business objectives and support long-term growth.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and possesses strong experience in retail, automotive service, or multi-location consumer marketing environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Brand Development

  • Develop and execute marketing plans that align with company growth objectives and expansion initiatives.
  • Increase brand awareness through effective use of multiple marketing outlets.
  • Optimize efficiency and effectiveness of marketing channels.
  • Maintain consistent brand messaging, customer experience, and visual identity across all locations and marketing platforms.

  • Develop written and visual content for digital and social platforms.

Digital Marketing & Social Media

  • Help manage the company’s digital marketing efforts, including social media, email campaigns, website updates, online advertising, and customer reviews.
  • Grow the company’s online presence by creating engaging content and building strong connections with customers across social media platforms.
  • Create, schedule, and monitor social media posts that reflect the company’s culture, services, promotions, and community involvement.
  • Work with marketing and technology partners to improve the company website and support a positive online customer experience.
  • Maintain and support company communication platforms used for internal updates, employee engagement, team collaboration, and company-wide communications.
  • Track marketing performance and customer engagement to help identify what’s working and where improvements can be made.

Customer Acquisition, Life Cycle, & Retention

  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and store traffic through integrated marketing campaigns and promotional strategies.
  • Develop and manage seasonal promotions focused on tires, automotive repair services, maintenance programs, and fleet services.
  • Support customer lifecycle marketing initiatives designed to increase repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Assist in developing customer engagement and retention programs.

Retail & Local Store Marketing

  • Lead local store marketing programs to increase visibility, customer engagement, and traffic across all locations.
  • Collaborate with operations and regional leadership teams to support new store openings, local market initiatives, and ongoing performance optimization.
  • Coordinate community partnerships, sponsorships, local events, grassroots marketing efforts, and company gatherings.
  • Plan and execute events for both new store openings and company-sponsored functions.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives are effectively executed at the store level.

Budgeting, Reporting & Vendor Management

  • Manage all aspects of the marketing budget.
  • Analyze marketing performance and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Develop reporting processes and dashboards to track customer growth, campaign performance, and ROI.
  • Manage activities and performance of vendors, agencies, media partners, and marketing partners.
  • Report achievements, opportunities, and/or challenges to the marketing team and executive leadership.
  • Develop and present recommendations to the executive team.
  • Perform administrative tasks including coordinating contracts and vendor agreements.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with operations, sales, finance, human resources, and regional leadership teams to support company objectives.
  • Foster innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the marketing department.
  • Responsible for attending all company-directed or sponsored meetings and training sessions.
  • Responsible for all other duties assigned by the Executive Team.

Leadership and Collaboration

The Marketing Director works closely with the VP of Marketing and senior leadership team to align marketing initiatives with company-wide objectives. This role collaborates cross-functionally with operations, sales, finance, human resources, and regional leadership to support growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

This position supports enterprise-level marketing initiatives across all corporate-owned locations and affiliated business entities. The Marketing Director helps balance centralized brand governance with localized execution to support diverse markets while maintaining a unified customer experience.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, or content marketing.
  • Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns and driving measurable business results.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital advertising, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Excellent writing, editing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of public relations and brand management.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong multitasking and project management abilities.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets, vendors, and agency relationships preferred.
  • Multi-location retail, automotive, tire industry, or consumer service experience preferred.
