Your New Role

Pay Range: $23.61-25.28 / hour; based on experience.

Hours: Varied schedule Monday-Friday with ability to support weekend shifts, when required.

Responsibilities:

Our Assistant General Managers are the main support pillars for leadership within Chuze clubs. You will support the General Manager in developing a team of authentic Chuzers and uphold top-tier customer service, cleanliness, and an unbeatable culture. You will set the standard for hospitality in every aspect of our operations and lead your team in creating an unforgettable experience for our members and guests.

  • Provide a welcoming experience for every Chuze member and guest by sharing information about memberships, fitness programs, amenities, equipment, and engaging club tours
  • Support your team in daily cleaning tasks throughout the club, membership sign-ups, retail displays and transactions, and serving smoothies (at clubs with Chuze Blends)
  • Partner with your GM to develop the Operations and Kids Club Chuzers, recruiting incredible new talent for your team, and fostering continuous growth through authentic conversations, performance reviews, and coaching documentation
  • Guide your team through elevated member concerns and emergent facilities issues, determining the proper course of action and implementing improvements to minimize disruptions to member experience
  • Assist your GM in all aspects of your club's operations, labor management, turnover, and quality assurance
  • Maintain strong cross-departmental communication and rapport with fitness, maintenance, and Home Office departments and processes
  • Complete administrative tasks such as reporting, email management, club scheduling, and inventory maintenance

Your Skills:Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 2+ years of team leadership or management experience
  • 2+ years of previous customer service experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to cultivate a positive environment and develop a strong team
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
  • Organized and accountable, able to set, reach, and prioritize goals
  • Ability to work varied hours, weekends, and opening/closing shifts as needed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team-based mindset with the capacity to receive and deliver feedback
Preferences:
  • Previous experience in the fitness industry
  • Bilingual
Physical Abilities:
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
  • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive arm and hand movements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to operate a telephone, computer, and other standard office equipment
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and heavier loads with assistance when needed
