Email Developers often encounter inconsistencies in how various email clients render HTML and CSS, which can make it challenging to ensure emails look and function as intended for all recipients. To address this, developers typically use inline styles, tables for layout, and test across multiple platforms and devices using tools like Litmus or Email on Acid. Staying up to date with client-specific quirks and best practices is essential, as is collaborating closely with designers and marketers to align on feasible design elements. Proactively addressing these challenges helps ensure a consistent and accessible experience for all users.

What is the difference between Email Developer vs Email Marketing Specialist?

AspectEmail DeveloperEmail Marketing Specialist

To thrive as an Email Developer, you need expertise in HTML, CSS, and responsive design, along with a strong understanding of email marketing best practices. Familiarity with email service providers (ESPs) like Mailchimp or Salesforce Marketing Cloud, as well as tools for testing and troubleshooting emails across clients, is typically required.
