Job description

Description Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Court Coordinator, performs assigned clerical duties such as filing, data input, handles routine telephone inquiries, acts as public liaison for Court to answer procedural questions, and assists in the daily operations of the assigned divisions. Examples of Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides customer service to the public (front window, telephone calls, e-mails) Completes data entry of traffic tickets, warrants (Class C, Misdemeanor A/B, Felony), Civil Cases, Animal Seizures, EPO's, Arraignments, Tow Hearings, Destruction Orders, Property Seizures, Truancy, GED Orders, Occupational Driver's License, Handgun License, payment plans and 30-day extensions Files criminal and civil filings Sets up defensive driving or deferred disposition Setting up Criminal and Civil Trials (including Truancy and Show Cause Hearings) Handle Appeals (Criminal and Civil) Communicates with District Attorney's Office regarding scheduling hearing dates Assists in processing daily deposit if Court Coordinator II or Clerk III are unavailable Regular and timely attendance is required Assists with other office functions and performs all other related duties as assigned. Notarize Court documents Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lift up to at least 30 lbs.
