Job description

Job Title: Data Analyst

Industry: Manufacturing

Location: Corning, NY

Shift: 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, fully onsite

Interview Process: First round is a video interview, second round is onsite

Client Overview

This opportunity is with a global leader in materials science and advanced technology manufacturing, supporting a major innovation program within one of its research and development campuses. The team you would join works at the intersection of engineering, program management, and data, helping guide decisions on new product and technology development. This is a well established, well resourced organization with a long track record of investing in innovation.

What You'll Do

  • Support data capture processes to keep program data timely, accurate, and consistent
  • Monitor and validate data quality, identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics
  • Work with program stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical solutions
  • Analyze data to surface trends, risks, and opportunities that support program goals
  • Maintain documentation for data definitions and reporting methodologies
  • Recommend improvements to data collection and reporting processes
  • Partner with technical and business teams to ensure data accessibility and integrity

What We Need From You

  • Associate's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field, Bachelor's preferred
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in data analysis, data quality management, and dashboard development
  • Proficiency in at least one business intelligence or analytics platform such as Power BI, Tableau, or JMP or Python
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting findings to both technical and non technical audiences
  • Must be local to the Corning, NY area

Preferred / Bonus

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience with Power BI specifically
  • Experience with Tableau specifically
  • Experience with JMP or Python specifically
  • Experience supporting R&D, innovation, product development, or technology programs
  • Familiarity with KPI development and performance reporting frameworks
  • Experience working in cross functional environments spanning engineering, business, and program management
