Summary:
The Elementary MTSS Interventionist will support students socially and emotionally through the day. Some of this support may occur during WIN (What I Need - Tier 2 Intervention) and WIN+ (Tier 3 Intervention) but is not limited to this time. They will work with the Principal, Building MTSS Coach, Academic/Behavior Intervention Teacher, and Classroom Teachers to assess and identify students, then develop and implement a plan to ensure an effective and positive learning experience for students.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide instruction and academic assistance to the students, keeping them on track and focused, under the supervision of the MTSS Coach as well as the Academic/Behavior Teacher.
  • Monitor student progress and risk indicators, including behavioral data. Support the development and implementation of intervention plans for these students.
  • Collect academic and /or behavior progress monitoring data that contributes to decision making around next steps in intervention.
  • Participate in professional learning around effective intervention, both academic and behavioral.
  • Effectively utilize positive and constructive classroom/small group management.
  • Collaborate with the building intervention team, as part of the MTSS model.
  • Participate in school meetings, assemblies, programs, and school events as requested.
  • Be a visible presence in the hallways, lunchroom, and recess, and actively work to develop relationships with all students.
  • Willing to be a MERT or KIP Team member that requires CPI and CPR training.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:
  • BA or Associates degree in Educational Assistance and teacher certification preferred; related work experience preferred. Intervention training will be provided.
  • Must have communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Must be flexible and willing to provide support to students in both behavior and academics.
  • Experience working with elementary students is preferred.

Schedule:
School Year Only
Up to 7.5 hours/day
Compensation:
Level 2: $15.74 - $18.42 per hour
