Job description

Be a part of the only operationally deployed missile defense program capable of defending the entire US homeland. Use your Systems Engineering knowledge and experience to integrate, test, sustain and protect the safety of our families, neighbors, communities and nation. We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the integration, operation, sustainment, and cybersecurity of the GMD Integration Lab (GIL) and GMD Modeling and Simulation Lab (GMSL). This role blends secure systems engineering, cybersecurity compliance, and lab-based integration and interoperability across multiple GMD elements and external systems. Integrate, operate, maintain, and sustain the GMD Integration Lab (GIL) as a Government-owned, Boeing-operated engineering development and early integration lab Integrate, operate, maintain, and sustain the GMD Modeling and Simulation Lab (GMSL) at Boeing facilities Establish and transition the GMSL using a methodology that enables efficient migration from Boeing facilities to a Government facility Integrate, maintain, and sustain Special Access Program (SAP) capabilities within the GMSL Support technical integration and interoperability with external GMD Element Labs (e.g., C2BMC, Sensors) Engineer, implement, and sustain secure Linux and Windows environments Apply, remediate, and validate DISA STIGs and cybersecurity requirements Support RMF-aligned cybersecurity compliance for mission systems Troubleshoot complex system, security, and integration issues across lab environments Collaborate with systems, network, cyber, modeling & simulation, and government teams Education & Experience Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry 10+ years of experience in Aerospace or Defense lab engineering, systems integration, or engineering analysis ABET accreditation preferred (not required)
Minimum Qualifications:
Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance U.S. Citizenship required for government clearance or contract compliance  Experience with or strong knowledge of the GMD program CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8570 / DoD 8140 compliant) CompTIA Linux+ or equivalent industry certification Experience implementing and validating DoD Cybersecurity Requirements Hands-on experience with the STIG process Experience with Virtual Machines Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Mid-to-senior level expertise in: Networking (Cisco) Linux Windows Modeling & Simulation experience Experience with Cameo or related systems engineering tools Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently in a highly dynamic, classified environment Position is on-site only (NO Remote) Desired Qualifications: Experience supporting government contracts and/or sub-contracts Experience with HWIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Experience with satellite systems Experience with Red Hat Identity Management (IdM) Experience with RSA two-factor authentication Experience with Palo Alto Networks Experience with network design and architecture
