Job Summary
The Electronics Repair Lab Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Electronics Repair Lab in support of the Vistra Generation Fleet. The Electronics Repair Lab Supervisor provides refurbishment and repair of electronic components such as circuit cards and power supplies to help maintain plant performance, commercial grade dedication of components utilized and component testing. This position manages the staff and workload of the lab, interacts with stakeholders throughout the company, and facilitates repairs by performing administrative functions such as parts ordering and cost tracking.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
  • Supervising and developing Electronic Repair Specialists, including obtaining required qualifications.
  • Interacting with generating plants to understand upcoming planned and emergent work.
  • Prioritizing assignments and backlog to ensure continuous support of the plants.
  • Identify innovative ways to support cost effective operations.
  • Facilitate purchasing of parts and equipment needed for repairs.
  • Administrative responsibilities to ensure work documents meet Quality Assurance Program Requirements. Maintain Electronics Lab business practices and procedures.
  • Tracking of costs associate with repairs to ensure appropriate restocking fees.
  • Oversight of workmanship of repair specialists.

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years' experience with electronic circuit board testing, troubleshooting and repair
  • Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical/Electrical Technical Certification preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred

Key Metrics:
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage work.
  • Collaboration with plants to ensure continued support.
  • Ability to develop and manage staff
  • Ensuring defect-free parts
