Job Summary
A growing electronics manufacturing environment in Longmont, CO is seeking a Service Technician (Electronics) for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an early-career technician with hands-on electronics service experience who enjoys troubleshooting, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing technical equipment in a structured, quality-focused setting.
The Service Technician (Electronics) will work under the guidance of management and senior technicians while building technical expertise across assigned equipment and product families. Key Responsibilities
- Perform operational performance inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and equipment validation procedures when applicable.
- Repair equipment to the subassembly or printed circuit board level and complete required calibrations.
- Assist senior technicians with troubleshooting and major repairs on higher-complexity equipment.
- Communicate repair status, inspection schedules, equipment concerns, and customer issues to management.
- Maintain accurate service records, inventory data, service history, and quality documentation in required databases.
- Follow quality management system procedures, regulatory standards, and service parts inventory processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform planned maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and equipment validation procedures.
- Repair electronics-based equipment to the subassembly or PCB level.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, inventory records, and quality system data.
- Support troubleshooting and repair activities for equipment within assigned product families.
- Associate degree in electronics, engineering technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Equivalent military avionics experience or 4+ years of relevant industry experience may substitute for formal education.
- Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience servicing related industry equipment preferred.
- Working knowledge of analog and digital circuits, microprocessors, and A/D and D/A converters.
- Ability to follow service procedures, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and documentation practices.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to safe work practices.
- Ability to learn assigned equipment and product families through ongoing technical training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with lasers and optical systems.
- Experience in electronics, components, semiconductor manufacturing, or a related technical service environment.
- Military avionics background or hands-on experience with complex electronic systems.
