Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a Service Technician (Electronics) for a direct hire opportunity in Longmont, CO. This role is ideal for an electronics technician who enjoys hands-on equipment service, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair work in a highly regulated technical environment.
The Service Technician will inspect, maintain, calibrate, and repair electronic equipment while working closely with management and senior technicians. Key Responsibilities
- Perform operational performance inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and validation procedures when applicable.
- Repair equipment to the subassembly or circuit board level and complete required calibrations.
- Assist senior technicians with troubleshooting and major repairs on higher-complexity equipment.
- Communicate repair status, inspection schedules, unusual findings, and customer concerns to management.
- Maintain accurate service records, inventory data, service history, and quality documentation in required systems.
- Follow established service procedures for parts usage, inventory transactions, and periodic parts reconciliation.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, calibrations, and repair work on electronic equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment at the subassembly or circuit board level.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, equipment records, and quality compliance data.
- Support service parts tracking, inventory transactions, and reconciliation activities.
- Associate degree in electronics, engineering technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Equivalent military or industry experience of 4 or more years may substitute for formal education.
- Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience servicing related industry equipment is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant electronics, equipment service, maintenance, or repair experience is strongly aligned with this role.
- Working knowledge of analog and digital circuits, microprocessors, and A/D and D/A converters.
- Ability to perform calibrations, inspections, validation procedures, and lower-complexity repairs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow QMS processes, regulatory standards, and internal procedures.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and complete service records on time.
- Strong communication skills for reporting repair status, equipment findings, and customer concerns.
- Ability to travel as required by business needs.
- Must be a U.S. person. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with lasers and optical systems.
- Experience working in electronics, components, semiconductor manufacturing, or another regulated technical service environment.
- Experience supporting equipment databases, service history records, inventory systems, or quality documentation.
- Military electronics, biomedical equipment, field service, depot repair, or manufacturing equipment service experience.
