Job Description
Ultra Electronics is seeking an Electronics Assembly and Test Technician to join our manufacturing team to build, inspect, and test new build products. The ideal candidate will be detailed-oriented, reliable, and committed to quality work. Hours for this position are typically Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with occasional overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Precision placement of small electronic components onto printed circuit boards.
  • Soldering of electronic components onto printed circuit boards.
  • Part by part, visual inspections of both electronic components and assemblies.
  • Application of epoxies, coatings and silicone to electronic assemblies.
  • Installation of hardware (screws, nuts, etc.) using handheld tools.
  • Maintenance and tracking of production documentation.
  • Organization and maintenance of issued workbench and equipment.
  • Other related electronics manufacturing tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work with others in a cooperative, team manner.
  • Ability to professionally handle critical feedback from quality inspectors and management.
  • Dedication to quality and precision of work.
  • US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in electronic circuit board assembly and/or experience hand soldering electronics.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to visually inspect product or parts through a microscope.
  • Must pass eye exam (can wear glasses or contacts).
  • Controlled hand dexterity for working with tweezers, soldering irons and tiny components.
  • Controlled hand-eye coordination for manipulating tiny components under a microscope.
  • Ability to read and follow production procedures.
