How much do electronics engineer no experience jobs pay per year?

As of Jul 4, 2026, the average yearly pay for electronics engineer no experience in the United States is $88,896.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $59,500.00 and $109,500.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Electronics Engineer No Experience position, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Electronics Engineer with no prior experience, you should possess a solid understanding of electronic circuits, basic programming, and a degree in electrical or electronics engineering. Familiarity with simulation tools like MATLAB or LTSpice, PCB design software such as Altium Designer, and an understanding of industry standards are advantageous. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication skills will help you contribute to team projects and solve technical problems. These skills ensure you can effectively assist with design, troubleshooting, and documentation while learning and growing in a professional engineering environment.

What types of projects or responsibilities can I expect as an entry-level Electronics Engineer with no experience?

As an entry-level Electronics Engineer, you will typically support senior engineers with tasks such as schematic design, circuit testing, and documentation of design processes. You might also assist in assembling prototypes, conducting experiments, and analyzing test results. Collaboration is common—expect to work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and software developers, to develop or refine products. These early responsibilities are designed to help you build hands-on experience, gradually increase your technical proficiency, and prepare you for more complex projects down the line.

Is there a demand for electronics engineers?

Electronics engineers are in demand across industries such as telecommunications, consumer electronics, and aerospace, with job growth driven by advancements in technology and automation. Entry-level positions often require knowledge of circuit design, programming, and relevant tools like CAD software, making it a viable career path for those with no experience who develop these skills. Overall, the field offers steady employment opportunities for new graduates and entry-level engineers.

What is an Electronics Engineer No Experience job?

An Electronics Engineer No Experience job is an entry-level position for individuals with a degree in electronics engineering but little to no professional experience. These roles often involve assisting senior engineers, conducting research, testing circuits, and troubleshooting electronic systems. Employers typically look for strong theoretical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn. Many companies provide on-the-job training to help new engineers develop practical skills. This role serves as a foundation for career growth in electronics engineering.

What engineers make $500,000?

Highly experienced engineers in specialized fields such as petroleum, aerospace, or software engineering can earn $500,000 or more annually, often through a combination of base salary, bonuses, and stock options. Senior roles requiring advanced skills, certifications, and extensive experience are typically associated with such high compensation levels.

Will AI replace ECE engineers?

AI is unlikely to fully replace electronics engineers, as their expertise in designing, testing, and troubleshooting electronic systems remains essential. AI tools can assist with tasks like simulation and data analysis, but human oversight and specialized knowledge are critical for innovation and complex problem-solving in electronics engineering.

Can I become an engineer with no experience?

Electronics engineering is a field that typically requires a relevant degree or technical training, but entry-level positions may be available to those with no prior experience if they demonstrate strong foundational knowledge, problem-solving skills, and familiarity with tools like circuit design software. Gaining certifications or internships can also improve chances of starting a career in electronics engineering without experience.
