Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our Life Cycle Sustainment Operations Team as an Electronics Engineer based out of Elkridge, MD.
In this role, you will support the testing and repair operations of airborne radars and test sets. You will apply Radio Frequency (RF) engineering principles to support analysis, and process support for legacy and emerging technologies. Familiarization with a wide variety of systems including radars would be a positive.
What You'll Get to Do:
  • Troubleshooting and performance evaluation of older test sets to include test set modification with documentation
  • Support production floor operators and test technicians in a timely fashion
  • Design and integration of new test sets
  • Unit under test evaluations
  • Documenting test procedures
  • Generate technical reports, track and report on performance
  • Reporting comms status to Program Managers and IPT Management

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline with 2 years of relevant experience; or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline
  • Experience with electrical and/or RF test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc.
  • Experience with software development using languages such as C++, Python, MATLAB, etc.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current/Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance
  • Previous design or testing experience
  • Familiarity with Labview and/or MATLAB programming and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in Technical Troubleshooting
  • Experience in Software Development

Primary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
