Responsible for developing and driving an efficient strategic plan for Facilities Instrumentation and Controls capacities. Design and engineering of green field project and existing system upgradation with ensured alignment to all applicable global standards, codes, and regulations. Provide strong technical onsite support to all facilities' critical systems including PLC, SCADA, Fire Alarm System, Life Safety System, Toxic Gas Monitoring System. Design review for instrumentation and control and provide onsite support to all sites in critical situations. Drive IoT SPC program to reduce chronic OOC/OOS alarm rates in SPC and improve system performance through IoT and AI analytics. Lead all site facilities I&C engineers to ensure operational excellence at all site facilities. Responsible for maintenance of capacity planning databases with Base Build capacities, POC assignments, and actual field conditions. Prepare periodic system status presentations including system capacity, actual load, projected loads based on all approved scenarios, key system accomplishments, and challenges/issues. Provide detailed designs and specifications for installation of new facilities infrastructure. Support cost and schedule estimates and justification for approval. Responsible for review of design packages. Prepare project scope and ensure vital mentorship from appropriate team members. Supervise progress and provide engineering and design support during construction. Collaborate with appropriate personnel to address problems or make corrections. Perform system inspections per applicable code requirements and sign off on inspection report. Ensure drawings are updated with completed project information according to as-built procedure. Provide technical support, leadership, and expertise. Provide consultation and support to Operations and Maintenance and Manufacturing. Analyze systems to identify improvements resulting in better performance, efficiency gains, reduced maintenance, and cost savings. Perform problem analysis using standard tools and methodologies and conduct risk and failure mode and effects analysis. Collaborate with Manufacturing on excursion root cause identification, elimination, and prevention. Build or modify Standard Utility Details. Benchmark with other Micron sites on operational, procedural, engineering, and craft BKM of Facilities buildings and systems. Perform data analysis on system signals and build best known methods for IoT monitoring. May telecommute part time.
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering or related field and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in an engineering-related occupation.
Position requires:
1. Field instrumentation selection, P&ID designing, and PLC control system and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition designing;
2. Design and operation knowledge of Toxic Gas Monitoring system and Fire alarm system;
3. Understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, Exhaust, CDA, and PCW) and Electrical systems, EPMS, Process systems (Water, Gas and chemical systems);
4. Providing engineering support and ensuring compliance during build phases.;
5. Technical Consultation - Supporting engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and semiconductor Manufacturing with expert guidance.;
6. Develop design standards and collaborating across sites to share and implement best practices.
