We are seeking a Staff Power Electronics Engineer to provide technical leadership in the design of high-reliability power electronics for spacecraft and defense systems.This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for architecting and delivering power conversion solutions while mentoring engineers and partnering across systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and program teams.**What You'll Do*** Architect and design high-reliability power electronics including DC-DC converters and related subsystems such as inverters, motor drives, or battery-management systems.* Perform circuit design, simulation, component selection, schematic capture, and guide PCB layout, thermal, and EMI/EMC considerations.* Lead hardware bring-up, integration, debug, verification, and qualification activities.* Develop and review specifications, design reviews, test plans, and verification documentation.* Solve complex technical issues using structured root-cause analysis.* Provide technical mentorship and design guidance to less experienced engineers.* Collaborate with systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams throughout the product lifecycle.* Ensure designs meet aerospace and defense reliability, environmental, and performance requirements.**Required Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.* 10+ years designing power electronics for aerospace, defense, industrial, or other high-reliability applications.* Strong experience designing DC-DC power converters or closely related power conversion circuits.* Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools (Cadence Allegro, Altium, or similar).* Experience using simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, Mathcad, or equivalent.* Strong understanding of power semiconductor devices.
