Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in a professional role.
  • Ability to work onsite in Richmond.
  • Reliability and great communication skills.
  • Proven interest in an electrical, mechanical, or automotive career (shown through professional experience or personal interests and hobbies).
  • High School Diploma.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Electronics certification or degree.
  • Experience working for a vehicle upfitter in another municipality.
  • Microsoft programs experience (Windows 10 & 11).
  • Any programming experience.

Day-to-Day:

A local municipal client is looking for an entry level Electronics Specialist to support electrical components installations to various vehicles. The job involves installing and servicing sirens, light bars, mobile computers, and radios in police, fire, and public safety and non-public safety fleets. You will be working with 12-volt DC automotive wiring, troubleshooting relays/switches, radar equipment, camera systems, GPS, radio systems, prisoner cage and k-9 cage installation and repairs. This role is an essential employees so despite weather conditions, you will be expected to show up for work.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7AM-4PM.

Location: Richmond, VA

Compensation: $18-$19/hour.
