Job Description
Silvus Technologies is dedicated to one mission: connecting those who keep us safe. We do so by delivering the most advanced Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) radios powered by our custom and ever evolving Mobile-Networked MIMO waveform. Together, our radios and waveform provide vital communications for mission critical applications in the harshest environments from underground tunnels to high altitude balloons.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Silvus is seeking an entry level Electronics Technician-I for the production team of Silvus' StreamCaster line of MIMO radios. This role will work closely with operations management and engineering to ensure high quality and timely delivery as well as provide feedback for continuous improvement of the product.
This is a fully on-site position, Monday through Friday, from 4:00 am to 12:30 pm. The location for this role is Silvus Technologies' HQ in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles.
The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Testing of sensitive electronic assemblies and printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Final assembly and inspection of finished products.
  • System testing and quality control testing in production.
  • Statistics logging and reporting with daily feedback to the team.
  • Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Good manual dexterity and strong hand skills with tools (tweezers, screw/bolt drivers, torque wrenches).
  • Competent as a PC user, and computer savvy.
  • Collaborative spirit, committed to team success.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
  • Enjoys hands-on work; is careful and detail oriented.
  • NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
  • All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Experience in an electronics manufacturing and testing environment.
  • Linux experience is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Indoor air-conditioned facility.
  • Occasional exposure to heat and cold.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
    • Lift up to 25 lbs.
    • Walking/Moving in the labs.

COMPENSATION: $21.63 - $22.66 / hourly
