The EDI Specialist's role is to develop, coordinate, implement, and communicate the organization's Internet-based strategies and initiatives for legacy Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems.


This individual is responsible for ensuring that EDI-related production and procedures are maintained and properly executed, including development, change requests, and enterprise integration projects. 


The EDI Specialist will also act as liaison between Customers and Vendor and our EDI partners.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Resolve EDI issues by finding root cause and working with internal EDI team and/or trading partners to correct
  • Correspond and communicate with Trading Partners. (SPS | iTrade | CommerceHub | Logic Block)
  • Support internal users and trading partners with EDI related requests, questions, troubleshooting
  • Train staff to monitor EDI transactions and identify issues.
  • Maintain project platform documentation by updating partner platforms and our own project management tools with up-to-date information.
  • Identify and communicate continuous improvements for EDI processes
  • Aid in developing EDI business initiative to improve existing processes around implementation, renewal and updates to structures.
  • Other duties as assigned
