Electrical Technician
Job Overview:
An Electrical Technician is responsible for all phases of a Robotics/material handling system full functionality. The duties included are reading and working off electrical schematics, wiring mechanical assemblies, junction box setup/power up/energizing with motors/PLCs, and ensuring appropriate tag/labeling for electrical units. Other duties include general repair and maintenance of shop equipment. This position typically requires 1-4 years of experience. This position may be called on to assist with troubleshooting efforts for existing electrical panel or other tasks supporting electrical manufacturing projects.
Shift:
  • 1st Shift

Job Functions:
โ€ข Proficient with reading schematics/electrical prints to conduct wire up, junction box setup, and other electrical assembly duties
โ€ข Ability to work as an individual and within a team
โ€ข Ability to work with efficiency and effective manufacturing practices
โ€ข Strong communication skills to coordinate projects between involved parties and other Electrical Technicians
โ€ข Work closely with Lead Electrical Technicians to understand electrical prints, schematics, project statuses, etc.
โ€ข Ability to provide feedback on prints and "redline" as appropriate
โ€ข With guidance, must follow all electrical processes detailed in print package.
โ€ข Show mutual respect for coworkers
โ€ข Maintain a positive attitude
โ€ข Overtime required when necessary
โ€ข Follow safety protocols per JSA (Job Safety Analysis)
โ€ข Take direction & learn under Lead Electrician
โ€ข Ability to bend and mount conduit as needed
โ€ข Proficient with reading schematics/electrical prints to conduct wire up, junction box setup, and other electrical assembly duties
โ€ข Ability to work as an individual and within a team

โ€ข Proficient with reading and interpreting schematics
โ€ข Familiar with low, medium, and high voltage electrical machinery/systems
โ€ข Positive attitude, able to handle tense situations that arise
โ€ข Team player, able to take direction
โ€ข Onsite electrical test maybe given to ensure required skill set.
โ€ข Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
