About the Electrician Top Helper position

We are looking for a Electrician Top Helper who will assist journeymen and handle advanced prep work, manage materials, and perform basic installations under supervision

You should be well prepared to do your job with all safety precautions, as well as experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems.

Electrician Top Helper responsibilities are:


Wire and Conduit Management

  • Bending conduit: Bends EMT or rigid conduit using hand or mechanical benders.
  • Threading pipe: Cuts and threads metal conduit for heavy-duty commercial installations.
  • Pulling wire: Feeds electrical wiring through walls, ceilings, and underground conduit runs.
  • Stripping cables: Removes outer jackets and insulation from large feeders and branch circuits.

Rough-In and Installation

  • Mounting boxes: Installs outlet, switch, junction, and panel boxes to studs.
  • Securing cables: Straps and supports wiring according to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
  • Trimming devices: Installs standard receptacles, light switches, and basic lighting fixtures during finishing phases.
  • Assembling fixtures: Pieces together commercial light fixtures or industrial panels before mounting.

Electrician Top Helper requirements are:
  • 2+ years' experience of working on an Electrical.

  • Significant experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems

  • Significant experience with various electrical and hand tools, including wire strippers, voltmeter and so on, as well as electrical drawings and blueprints

  • Excellent knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Good physical condition, with ability to work long shifts and overnight

  • Better if have apprentice license
  • Tool ownership: Possession of a standard personal hand tool set.
