Service Specialists is recruiting for an experienced Purchasing Manager on behalf of a growing and well-established company in the electrical construction industry. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing procurement operations, warehouse management, fleet coordination, and material logistics to support ongoing project and service operations.

We are seeking a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment and brings strong industry knowledge, operational efficiency, and the ability to keep critical materials and equipment moving seamlessly.

Position Overview

The Purchasing Manager will oversee the procurement of electrical materials, equipment, rentals, and repair services while supervising warehouse and delivery personnel. This role will also manage warehouse and service truck inventory, coordinate logistics with project teams, and support fleet maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchase electrical materials, tools, equipment, and supplies for project and service operations

• Manage equipment rentals, including sourcing, scheduling, tracking, and off-renting

• Coordinate repairs and maintenance for company vehicles, trailers, and equipment

• Supervise warehouse and delivery staff while overseeing daily warehouse operations

• Maintain accurate warehouse and service truck inventory with effective tracking and restocking processes

• Coordinate jobsite deliveries and logistics to ensure project timelines are met

• Build and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships

• Review invoices, monitor costs, and maintain purchasing and repair documentation

• Partner closely with project managers and field leadership to anticipate material and equipment needs

• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of purchasing experience in electrical contracting, construction, or a related industry

• Strong knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, and supplier networks

• Experience coordinating equipment rentals and vehicle/equipment repairs

• Supervisory experience in warehouse, logistics, or delivery operations

• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

• Experience with ERP or purchasing software preferred
