Job description:

We are seeking a Purchasing Agent with a strong background in the electrical wholesale industry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing inventory procurement, vendor relationships, and purchase order administration.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive working relationships with domestic and international vendors.
  • Analyze purchase requisitions from the warehouse team and place timely orders.
  • Track supply inventory levels and determine purchasing needs based on quarterly and annual trends.
  • Negotiate pricing and delivery terms to ensure timely arrival of materials for smooth production operations.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team on inventory management.
  • Monitor purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any delays.
  • Manage the accounts payable process, including PO closure, invoice matching, and payment processing.
  • Handle product rejections and discrepancies with vendors.
  • Perform general purchasing administrative tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in the electrical wholesale industry is mandatory.
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and able to adjust to changing business needs.
Preferred / Advantageous Skills:
  • Experience managing inventory purchasing.
