YBS Electrical LLC is seeking a full-time Electrical Estimator to support accurate bidding and estimating for electrical projects.

Position Summary

The Electrical Estimator will prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects by analyzing project requirements, interpreting drawings and specifications, and compiling labor, material, and subcontractor inputs. This role plays a key part in helping the company submit competitive, profitable bids.

Working in a Hybrid capacity from Fredericksburg, VA, the Electrical Estimator will partner with internal teams to clarify scope, ensure estimate accuracy, and help align pricing with project expectations and timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to understand project requirements and estimate needs.

  • Prepare takeoffs and develop estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor components.

  • Build and maintain bid cost models to support consistent, accurate pricing decisions.

  • Assist with bid preparation by organizing estimate documentation, assumptions, and supporting calculations.

  • Coordinate with project and operations teams to resolve scope questions and update estimates as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience estimating electrical construction work, including interpreting plans and specifications.

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and installation practices sufficient to support accurate costing.
