Electrical Project Engineer
Job Description

This engineer can sit in Raleigh, Wilmington, or Charlotte NC.

DAY-TO-DAY: The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of electrical engineering projects, including system design, peer reviews, and technical support during the construction phase of wastewater facilities. Key responsibilities include:
• Manage electrical teams and delegate tasks to junior staff to ensure projects move from design to completion on schedule.
• Lead QA/QC efforts, prepare detailed drawing packages, and manage permit submittals for diverse engineering projects.
• Act as a primary liaison for clients, agencies, and municipalities through meetings and site visits.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, and contract modifications while troubleshooting issues with Project Managers.
• Analyze systems to enhance design quality, reduce costs, and streamline multi- disciplined workflows.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
• 6-10 years of applicable electrical engineering experience.
• Bachelor of Science Degree; ideally in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) Certification.
• Experience utilizing Revit, AutoCAD, eTAP & SKM in a similar field
• Skilled in Microsoft Suite and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing motor control centers, generators, and switchgears for medium and low voltage.
• Experience with Generator sizing Tools (Caterpiller SpecSizer or Cumminis Powersuite)
• Extensive National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA 780 understanding.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
• Required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
