Job description

Commissioning Engineer - Semiconductor & Advanced ManufacturingPosition Overview
We are looking for experienced Commissioning Engineers to support large-scale semiconductor and advanced manufacturing projects throughout the United States. The project location is currentlyΒ TBD.
This position will support the transition of facility and process systems from construction completion through testing, start-up, commissioning, and final turnover. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in complex, highly regulated environments where system reliability, documentation, and coordination are critical.
Experience in semiconductor fabs, cleanrooms, advanced manufacturing, data centers, pharmaceutical facilities, or other mission-critical projects is highly valued.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate commissioning activities from system completion through operational turnover.
  • Prepare and execute commissioning plans, test procedures, functional test scripts, and acceptance documentation.
  • Review drawings, specifications, P&IDs, electrical one-lines, control diagrams, and equipment documentation.
  • Coordinate and participate in FAT, SAT, equipment start-up, and system testing.
  • Perform functional testing and verify equipment and system performance against project requirements.
  • Support equipment energization, initial start-up, and operational readiness activities.
  • Investigate system issues, coordinate troubleshooting, and drive deficiencies to resolution.
  • Track and close commissioning punch-list items.
  • Work closely with construction, engineering, vendors, subcontractors, controls teams, and owner representatives.
  • Maintain accurate commissioning records, test results, turnover packages, and system completion documentation.
  • Support phased turnover of systems and areas to operations.
  • Verify that testing activities are performed safely and in accordance with project procedures and applicable standards.
  • Assist with final system acceptance and handoff to the owner's operations team.
Electrical Systems

  • Proven experience progressing systems from construction completion through testing, start-up, commissioning, and turnover.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning, completions, and turnover documentation.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, P&IDs, one-lines, and control documentation.
  • Strong field troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience coordinating with EPC firms, equipment manufacturers, subcontractors, engineering teams, and owner representatives.
  • Familiarity with commissioning, completions, or project management software is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple systems and priorities in an active construction environment.
