Electrical Engineer
Job Description:
This is an entry-level engineering position that is available on the A&D RF Applications team. The individual will be responsible for test and measurement of devices, primarily for MACOM's GaN on Silicon technology, in support of applications and customer samples. On-the-job training and career growth opportunities will be provided.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Experience with test lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power meters, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers
• Experience withAutomation Software (C#, C++, Matlab)
• Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and plotting
Qualifications/Skills
• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Between 0-3 years relevant experience
• Understanding of electronic circuit design
• Understanding of semiconductor devices
• Some experience with programming in C#, C++, Matlab
• Some experience with code repositories
• Ability to solder SMD components
• Ability to learn in a lab environment working with new types of RF test equipment and software
• Detail oriented with strong fundamentals in core engineering principles
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for test fixture hardware
• Ability to present analysis in power point presentations
• Excellent verbal and written "360 degree" communication skills
• Shows initiative and Can-Do attitude to address daily problems to achieve rapid resolution. Willing to work in a self-directed environment
• Ability to work effectively with engineering peer groups in a dynamic, collaborative and results oriented environment
