Responsibilities
Noblis MSD scientists, engineers, technical staff, analysts, and program managers identify and deploy secure shipboard technologies, integrate information technology across shipboard platforms and shipboard systems, and develop computing and networking strategies to support the Warfighter. Noblis MSD employees create strategic solutions to help customers reach new levels of mission support and transform their organizations.
Noblis MSD is seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to provide electrical engineering expertise to the development, integration, updates and repairs to the electrical components of a fast-paced Navy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and development of electrical systems and components for Navy systems.
  • Perform circuit design, modeling, and simulation to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Create and review electrical schematics, writing diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, system engineers, and program managers.
  • Support prototype development or production unit builds, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
  • Contribute to design reviews, technical presentations, and project status updates.

Candidate must possess, well-developed work habits, and an eagerness and enthusiasm for solving electrical engineering challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers who will provide guidance, mentorship and hands-on training. The candidate will contribute to the design, analysis, and integration of electrical and electronic systems, including defensive systems, automated test equipment (ATE), uninterrupted power supplies, power regulators, and analog/digital systems. They will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project requirements and delivery deadlines are met. Required Qualifications
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred) OR Associate's Degree + 3 years of relevant experience OR High School + 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to interact directly with customers to extract requirements, generate a plan and report status.
  • Familiarity with System Engineering concepts.
  • Be able to work independently and interact with government and military active-duty personnel in design and support of system components.
  • Familiarity in designing and troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment while completing tasks in an unsupervised and self-directed fashion.
  • Must have a Secret clearance OR the ability to obtain one.

Desired Qualifications
Desired/Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred.
  • Understanding of engineering design, analysis, and testing in addition to the above requirement
  • Understanding of design documentation or technical data package quality drawings for electronic systems
  • Knowledge with uninterruptible power supplies and its functions
  • Experience with performing input current and power calculations
  • Knowledge with writing Engineering reports, work instructions, test plans, etc.
  • Experience using digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, and power quality analyzer tools
  • Familiarity with power cable harnesses, connectors, and wiring
  • Familiarity with NEMA standards as well as military standards
  • Understanding of NAVY shipboard power and interfaces
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting of failed electronic components and root cause analysis

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.

USD $63,600.00 - USD $99,450.00 /Yr.
