Job description

We are a well-established, employee-owned engineering firm with over 40 years of experience and a strong reputation as a top systems integrator. The company emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and giving employees ownership in both their work and career growth.

The CAD Manager role is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing a team of CAD Designers while supporting engineering projects. This person will guide standards, improve processes, and ensure high-quality electrical design documentation, while also staying involved technically. It's a mix of team leadership, process improvement, and day-to-day CAD support in an industrial automation environment.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Lead and coordinate a team of up to 10 CAD Designers
  • Support electrical design work including schematics, P&IDs, and control panel layouts
  • Manage and enforce CAD standards, procedures, and best practices
  • Drive efficiency improvements, including CAD automation and quality checks
  • Oversee drawing control and data management using Autodesk Vault
  • Provide technical support and training on CAD tools and standards
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams, including CNC integration
  • 10+ years of experience with AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical
  • Strong experience with UL508A control panel design (required)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively across teams
